Year 9 English Home Work (Lord Of The Flies)

Lord Of The Flies

We are now into chapter 6 and my thoughts on the book are mixed… I think that this book is confusing in a way, It seems to me like it jumps from topic to topic. It is a exciting book to read, for me it is one of those books that you just can’t put down you have to keep reading and reading. The characters ”Jack” I think is a weird and unpredictable character in the book. He seems to have changed extremely fast from when they first crashed on the island. I also think that the ”Hunter Group” is a little bit over rated in my point of view. Everyone knows them as the hunters and everyone thinks that they are they tough guys of the group.

I like this book, but I think that it jumps all over the place.. Maybe that is the kind of book that it is but I like books better when they have a steady pace and slowly move to the next topic.

I would be able to relate to Jack. How I relate to jack is that he wants to catch something he wants to accomplish something and feel good about it and brag about it to everyone else, He wants people to know that he is capable of doing what he is doing. I am very similar to Jack in that sort of way I want and need to accomplish something when it is started and wont stop until I am satisfied with the results.

Very nice job Taylor. I am so glad you were able to join us and jump right in. You make some great points and it seems like you have a good grasp of the main idea of the book. You are right it does start a bit slow and appears to be disjointed, but it all starts to make sense towards the end.

I think a lot of people, young boys in particular have Jack in them, but few like to admit it. I like how you were able to see the positive attributes that Jack has.
